Ledgr — Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 16, 2026 · Applies to the Ledgr apps for Windows and Android, published by Sfinx.

Ledgr is an offline-first personal finance tracker. It is built so that your financial data never leaves your device. This policy explains what information the app handles, what stays local, and the limited cases where third-party services are involved.

1. Your financial data stays on your device

All accounts, transactions, loans, certificates, saving goals, budgets, notes, and any documents or receipts you scan are stored only in local storage on your own device. Ledgr has no user accounts, no sign-up, no cloud sync, and no server of ours that receives your data. We (the developer) cannot see, access, or recover your financial data.

2. Data we do not collect

3. Network requests the app makes

Ledgr works offline. It makes a small number of outbound requests for specific features:

4. Advertising (free Android version only)

The free Android version shows a small banner advertisement served by Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, Google may collect device information such as your advertising ID, IP address, and coarse device data, as described in Google's Privacy Policy and AdMob's data practices. Ledgr does not share any of your financial data with AdMob — the ad SDK runs alongside the app, not inside your data.

You can remove ads permanently with the one-time Remove Ads purchase, after which no ad SDK requests are made. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your device's Google settings. The Windows version contains no ads.

5. Purchases

The "Remove Ads" purchase is processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We never see or store your payment details; Google provides the app only with a confirmation that the purchase completed. See Google's Privacy Policy for how Google processes payments.

6. AI features

Ledgr's assistant and insights run on your device (using your device's local AI capability or a locally downloaded model). Your financial data and your questions to the assistant are processed locally and are not transmitted to us or to any AI provider. If you believe an AI response is inappropriate, you can report it via the in-app Report option, which opens an email draft — nothing is sent unless you choose to send it.

7. Data retention and deletion

Because everything is stored locally, you are in full control. You can erase all data at any time via Settings → Clear Data inside the app, or by uninstalling the app. We retain nothing, because we hold nothing.

8. Children

Ledgr is a personal finance tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Security

Your data is protected by your device's own security. Ledgr additionally offers an optional PIN lock inside the app. Because there is no cloud copy, protecting your device (and any backups you export yourself) protects your data.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the effective date above. Material changes (for example, adding any new third-party service) will be noted in the app's release notes.
